My HALL family first arrived in Simcoe County around 1830. They settled
in Oro Township, close to the settlements of Leigh's Corners and East
Oro.

The patriarch was Humberston HALL, of Lincolnshire. His wife was Leah
BUTTERS, daughter of John and Rebecca. It is known that they had at
least two sons, and at least two daughters.

Joseph Butters HALL, b: 1824, m: Sarah Anne HATCH
