The Kesters who lived in this area were all related. They came to this area from Kentucky and settled in Linton & Prairie Creek TWPs. There is a small Kester family cemetery in Linton TWP.

There is a Lucinda Sparks who married David Kester in Clay County, March 31,
1862, Clay County Bk 5, Pg 54. I'm sure it's the one you are looking for;
if you search the 1900 census on line at INCLAY, you'll find Lucinda and
Owen's son, Samuel Sparks is there; his age and place of birth for parents
match those in the 1850 census for Vigo.

Ironically, Owen and Lucinda Sparks were living next door to Paul and Naomi
Kester in 1850 in Vigo County, Linton Twp; maybe David is a relative?

I'm not searching this particular line; I just did a lookup for you. If I
can help with anything else, please let me know.
