Dear Steve,

Yes, Perhaps you can help me with the Pound family. My Lucretia Smith,(nee Thomas) is said to have had an Uncle John Thomas and Aunt Lizzie Thomas who resided in Terre Haute, Indiana. That is the reason I am thinking that the John Thomas who married Elizabeth Pound in Vigo County in 1837 could be her Uncle. I have posted a querie to the list which I hope will explain my problem.

Lucretia (Thomas) Smith was blind in her old age and had her grandchildren write letters to her Uncle John Thomas in Terre Haute , Indiana . Lucretia died in 1930 in Arkansas. Some of her granddaughters who wrote letters for her are still living and remember writing these letters for her.

You assistance is welcome.
